The firm of George, Davies and Evans has been in practice in the busy central town of Cardigan since the early 19th century. At the time Cardigan was a thriving port and the offices of George, Davies and Evans were located in Quay Street, the firm moved it's offices to their current location at Castle Chambers, Grosvener Hill in 1970.

The firm of W Evans George and Son was set up in Newcastle Emlyn in 1864 by the grandfather of Mr Jeremy George (himself recently retired from the practice with the firm and was infact the fourth generation of his family to practice in the firm.

In 1935, Mr Geoffrey George, Mr Jeremy George's late father, having completed his Article Clerkship with his father in W Evans George and Son, purchased George, Davies and Evans, thereby merging the two firms.
